Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 21 September 2026

Focus Network carries advertising. This page explains exactly what form it takes, who pays, what the payment influences and what it does not. It is written to be read in full rather than skimmed, because a disclosure that nobody can follow is not a disclosure.

The arrangement, in one paragraph

Legionella Personal s.r.o. participates in an affiliate programme through which it is paid a commission by an advertiser when a reader follows a link from this site to the War Thunder website and then registers an account there. War Thunder is created and published by Gaijin Entertainment. The commission is paid by the advertiser out of its own marketing budget. It is not added to anything you pay, and Legionella Personal s.r.o. is not a party to any transaction between you and the publisher.

What it costs you

Nothing. Following an affiliate link from this site does not change the price of anything, does not affect what is offered to you, does not enrol you in anything and does not give Legionella Personal s.r.o. any role in, or visibility of, your account. If you would rather not use our link, type the publisher's address into your browser directly — the site works the same either way, and you owe us nothing for reading it.

How you can tell which links are paid

Every paid link on this site is marked in three ways at once, and no link is paid unless all three are present:

  • A sentence immediately next to the link saying that it is paid and who pays.
  • The link opens in a new tab and points directly at the advertiser's address, with no redirect through this domain and no address assembled by script when you click. What your browser shows you in the status bar is where you go.
  • The link carries the sponsored and nofollow attributes, which tell search engines that it is advertising.

Links to Australian government resources — the ACCC, Scamwatch, the eSafety Commissioner, the Australian Cyber Security Centre, the OAIC and the Australian Classification Board — and links between pages of this site are not paid and never have been. No money has been received from any of those bodies, and none of them has any connection with this site.

What the commission does not influence

It does not decide which entries exist, the order they appear in, or what any of them say. It does not cause a drawback to be omitted: the entries describe repair costs that can move an account backwards, progression that slows deliberately, randomised purchases that deserve caution, and a category that requires a computer many readers will not want to buy. None of that is helpful to an advertiser, and all of it stays.

It does not buy a rating, because this site publishes no ratings, scores or rankings. It does not buy a claim: everything said about the advertised title on this site is limited to what the advertiser states about it — that it is a multiplayer vehicle combat game from Gaijin Entertainment, fought with planes, helicopters, tanks and ships, on Windows, macOS and Linux, and that starting means registering an account, confirming the email address, installing the client and launching the tutorial. We publish no price, no discount and no availability claim for it, and no description of it as free, because those are the publisher's statements to make and not ours.

What does determine the coverage

Three things, in order: the structure of the category, which sets what has to be explained before anything else makes sense; the questions a reader in Australia would actually ask, which is why the consumer, safety and classification material is here at all; and what can be attributed to a primary source, which is why there are no benchmark figures or survey results anywhere on the site. The about page sets out the same method at greater length.

The honest limitation

This site covers one title commercially, and that makes it a poor place to look for a comparison of the market. We do not claim to survey the category impartially and we do not publish a "best of" list, because a commission-funded ranking would be worth nothing to you. What the site is good for is the category itself: the concepts, the vocabulary, the economics and the Australian context, all of which remain true regardless of which title you eventually choose or whether you choose one at all.

Advertising standards

Under the Australian Consumer Law, misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited, and that obligation falls on the publisher of a site as much as on an advertiser. We take it as the standard for everything here, including this page. If you believe any statement on this site is misleading, write to info@focusnetwork.online and it will be corrected or removed. Your general rights as a consumer are explained by the ACCC.

Trade marks

War Thunder and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners. Focus Network is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. No publisher has reviewed, approved or commissioned anything published here.
